Oregon’s capital sits along the Willamette River in the valley of the same name. It’s many cultural attractions and outdoor activities make it an ideal spot for retirees. And Salem assisted living facilities (AFL) are affordable.

Popular Salem attractions include the Bush House Museum, a Victorian home built in 1878 by banker Asahel Bush II.
